You're Only Young Twice review

Great opener for this fabulous traditional sitcom with its sterling cast. I love each and every episode, although "The Birthday Girl" episode was a little below par with a story which seemed faintly juvenile and dated even at the time. However, the acting and dialogue always comes to the rescue.

You're Only Young Twice: The Complete Fourth Series review

Fabulous final series of visits to the Paradise Lodge Superior Residence For Retired Gentlefolk. The standard is excellent and stand-out episodes for me have to be "Flora's Big Mistake" - terrific performances as always, and Cissie's unexpected manipulation of Flora's mistake and the consequences had me in stitches , "The Gypsy's Curse" - playing on superstitions and the power they exert - even over people like Flora, and "Breakfast At Peabody's" - brilliant - the mannequins, heads scene was inspired! This is a lovely traditional sitcom and I can watch and re-watch it - and re-watch it AGAIN - and still laugh!
